The vegetarian recipe for Tomato Sushi:
servings – 3 to 4
Ingredients
- 1 cup calrose rice/sushi rice
- 2 cups water
- 3 tomatoes (slice into rounds)
Seasonings
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
Method
- Place calrose rice and water in the rice cooker and cook.
- When the rice is ready, dish out and cool.
- Add vinegar and sugar; mix evenly.
- Roll into thick rounds and lay tomato slices on top.
- Serve with soy sauce and wasabi.
This looks really complicated to make, but my family tried out this recipe to great success this month. It tastes just like real sushi!
