The vegetarian recipe for ‘Fried Okra’:

servings – 4 to 6

Ingredients

  • 15 okras/’ladies fingers’
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • adequate water

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp salt

Method

  • Combine self-rising flour, wheat flour, salt and water to form a frying batter.
  • Heat oil, coat the okras in the frying batter and fry until golden brown.
  • Dish out, drain and serve.
