The vegetarian recipe for Stir-Fried Rice Noodles (Char Kway Teow):

Ingredients

  • 1 kg rice noodles/kway teow (loosen)
  • 300 g bean sprouts
  • 300 g cabbage (cut into strips)
  • 3 dried chilies (cut in half)
  • some limes
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1/4 cup water

Seasonings

  • 3 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

Method

  • Heat oil, stir-fry dried chilies until fragrant.
  • Switch to high heat and stir-fry bean sprouts.
  • Add cabbage and stir evenly.
  • Add rice noodles and combine.
  • Add dark soy sauce + soy sauce and stir-fry for about 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle water over and stir evenly.
  • Dish out and serve with Seasoned Soya Mince, Vegetarian Belacan Chili Paste and lime juice.
