The vegetarian recipe for ‘Pan-Fried Tofu Slices with Torch Ginger Bud’:

Ingredients

  • 1/2 loaf vegetarian fish/素食乌柳宜 su shi wu liu yu (slice)
  • 10 bird’s eye chilies (dice)
  • 1 torch ginger bud (dice)
  • 1/2 cup water

Seasonings

  • 1/2 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Method

  • Heat oil and pan-fry vegetarian fish until golden brown.
  • Add bird’s eye chilies + torch ginger bud and stir-fry until fragrant.
  • Add vegetarian oyster sauce + sugar + salt + water, cover the pan and briefly simmer.
  • Dish out and serve.
