Vegetarian Recipe: Fried Soya Slices with Spicy Paste Posted by Susan Siow | Jul 18, 2011 | Spicy, Updates, Vegetarian Recipes Ingredients 1/2 loaf of vegetarian fish/素食快乐鱼 su shi kuai le yu – made from soya (slice) 1/2 vegetarian belacan/vegetarian shrimp paste – ball form (dice) 20 dried chilies (soak in boiling water until tender, mince with a blender, simmer with some salt and sugar; serves as a dried chili paste) Seasonings 1 tablespoon of sugar 1 tablespoon of soy sauce Method Pan-fry vegetarian fish slices, dish out, drain and set aside. In some remaining oil, stir-fry dried chili paste + diced vegetarian belacan until fragrant. Add fried vegetarian fish slices + 1 big bowl of water and simmer until half absorbed. Add sugar + soy sauce, briefly cook and serve.
