Vegetarian Recipe: Peppery Vegetable Strips Posted by Susan Siow | Jul 18, 2011 | Speedy, Updates, Vegetarian Recipes Ingredients 1 small yam bean (cut into fine strips) 1 carrot (cut into fine strips) 6 shiitakes (soak in water until soft and cut into fine strips) Seasonings 1/4 teaspoon of salt 1/4 teaspoon of sugar 1/2 tablespoon of soy sauce 1/2 teaspoon of white pepper powder Method Firstly, stir-fry shiitake strips. Then, add yam bean strips + carrot strips, cover the pan and simmer for a while. Add salt + sugar + soy sauce + white pepper powder and stir-fry. Add some water, cover the pan, briefly simmer, dish out and serve.
