Ingredients
- 1/2 or 600g of lotus root (wash, slice and set aside)
- 1/2 cup of groundnut kernels
- 10 red dates (remove the pits and set aside)
Seasonings
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of brown sugar
Method
- Bring water (9 cups) to a boil.
- Add lotus root slices + groundnut kernels + red dates and simmer over low heat for 1 hour.
- Dish out and serve.
