Vegetarian Recipe: Sauteed Vegetarian Fish Topped with Shredded Ginger Posted by Susan Siow | Jul 16, 2011 | Delights, Updates, Vegetarian Recipes Ingredients 2 pieces of ‘wheat cod fish’ 素麦鳕鱼 su mai xue yu/vegetarian fish some tapioca starch for coating 1 small piece of ginger (shred, fry and set aside) Seasonings 1 tablespoon of sugar 1 tablespoon of soy sauce Method Coat vegetarian fish with tapioca starch and fry in heated oil. Dish out, drain and set on a plate. Saute soy sauce + sugar in 1 tablespoon of remaining fried oil. Then, simmer with 1/2 cup of water. When the sauce is ready, scoop it over the fried vegetarian fish. Lastly, top the dish with fried shredded ginger and serve.
