The vegetarian recipe for Clove Rice with Hash Browns:

Ingredients

  • 3 cups rice (wash)
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 20 cloves
  • 2 tbsp fresh milk
  • 400 g mini hash browns – suitable for vegetarians (fry)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • salt to taste

Method

  • Heat oil and saute cloves until fragrant.
  • Place cloves (and vegetable oil), cinnamon stick, turmeric powder, salt, fresh milk and water (adequate) in a rice cooker.
  • Cook.
  • Serve with fried hash browns and Cheese Sauce.
